The DC connector is an application that runs on the server or main RO Writer and Mitchell 1 workstation to keeps DC information in sync. If installing the DC Connector on a computer that is remote to the SQL Server, see the additional steps at the bottom of this article. When running, the following icon will appear in the system tray.
Under certain circumstances, the connector can stop syncing and DC will not have up-to-date information. Below are steps to take when DC is not updating.
Check to make sure the connector is running by looking for the icon. If it is not, the connector clicking this icon from the desktop or start menu.
If there is still an issue, click on the icon in the system tray to bring up more information. The Last Sync date should be within 1 to 2 minutes of the current time.
If this value is not updating, Click on Help -> Support Tools
Next Click on View Logs
If the connector is working properly, the log will list loop XX/30 clicking refresh the loop count should increment. If there is an error or refresh is not showing new data, continue to the next step.
Close the log window. Next Click Send Logs so that we can review the cause of the issue. Once the logs have been sent, click on the Clear Local Button
This will clear out the local DC database that may be corrupt. Once cleared, the DC connector will restart. It may take 30 seconds or so for syncing to resume.
