On Demand Campaigns from Digital Concierge allow you to trigger SMS/email messages to a group of customers, commonly known as "slow day" campaigns. To create an on demand campaign, you need to configure the following settings:
Campaign Name: Assign a name to identify this campaign for your reference.
Select Sites to Run This Campaign: Choose one or more sites to target with your campaign.
Campaign Type: Select either SMS or Email, depending on the communication channel you want to use.
Campaign Trigger: Choose "On Demand" as the trigger for this campaign.
Contact Source: The campaign will target customers based on the item selected here.
Next, you'll set the start and end dates to search for customers who last visited within that time frame. These customers will be the recipients of the SMS/Email messages.
Limit Messages per Day: It is recommended to limit this to 250 messages per site to manage the communication load effectively.
Limit Total Messages: This setting will restrict the total number of messages sent. For example, if your customer list consists of 5000 individuals and you set the limit to 1000, only 1000 campaign messages will be generated.
Blast Interval & Blast Limit: These settings control how often a single customer can receive messages if the On Demand campaign is run repeatedly, default is 1 once every 30 days.
Auto Approve: Toggle this option on if you want the messages to be automatically sent without requiring manual approval.
Require Delete Reason: If approval is necessary, enabling this setting will prompt the advisor to provide a reason before deleting any message.
Do Not Track Outcomes: Toggle this option on if you don't want the advisor to report the outcome of the conversation.
Create at Least One Message: Craft the content for your SMS message(s) that will be sent out in the campaign.
Save or Update the Campaign: Save your campaign settings to proceed.
Once the campaign settings are saved, use the "Preview Audience" button to see how many potential customers meet the date range criteria. Keep in mind that the actual number of customers may be lower after opt-out status and valid number/email checks are performed.
After verifying the campaign, click on "Build" to trigger a task on the server to generate all campaign messages. The time required for this process depends on the campaign's size and complexity and may range from a couple of minutes to 10 minutes. You can monitor the progress by checking the "Messages on Deck" count on the main campaigns page.
If "Auto Approve" was enabled, batches of messages will start sending out every 5 minutes once the build process is completed. This ensures timely delivery of your on demand SMS campaign to the targeted customers.
