Tasks are there to help you manage your messaging system. You get to open new tasks for customers you'll be in contact with and keep them active while you work on their vehicles. You also get to communicate with your team about the tasks and categorize the tasks.

 

Tasks are located in your Dashboard view:

Adding A New Task

1. Click New in the "New Tasks" tab and search for the customer either by name, or phone number:

2. Contacts that fit your search query will pop up under the search box. Click the desired customer. It will then be opened as a new active task.


Managing Active Tasks

To open an active task, simply click it. This will bring up the messaging window. To learn more about messaging, consult the corresponding guide. For purposes of managing tasks, we will look at the Action Menu and Notepad:

1. Action Menu:

  • Edit Contact - Brings up a window where you can edit the user's information, for example add a new phone number or change the address.
  • Mark Complete - When you want to close the conversation.
  • Mark Spam - If a number is sending spam messages, "Mark as Spam" will prevent any future messages from being delivered.
  • Transfer - If someone else should be handling this message, Transfer will allow the message to be transferred to another user or mark as unassigned.
  • Mark Unread- When the message is opened, it gets marked as read. You can revert it back to unread.

2. Notepad

 You can enter your personal notes about the conversation here, or leave additional information for your team. You can also assign the conversation to a particular RO by adding the RO number.
