Adding OktoAssist to a Call Route Video transcript OktoRocket Knowledge Base [0:00] To begin using OktoAssist, it needs to be added to your shop's call routing. [0:05] Start by navigating to your location's call settings and opening call routing. [0:11] Rather than building a new route from scratch, copy an existing call route and rename the copy for OktoAssist. [0:18] This keeps your original route available while giving you a familiar starting point for your new configuration. [0:27] From there, delete the existing steps and sub-steps in the section you're replacing, so you have a clean route to work with. [0:40] Once that section is cleared out, click the gear icon on step 1. [0:45] Give this step a description, such as "OktoAssist". [0:48] Then change the destination type to "OktoAssist". [0:52] This will turn step 1 into the "OktoAssist" step for that route and populate the available configurations. [0:59] From here, you can configure the greeting and voice along with the options you want available to the caller. [1:07] Depending on your setup, this can include scheduler access, transfers to an advisor, towing partner, extension, call group, or voicemail, as well as text messaging options. [1:26] Every OktoAssist setup should also include a fallback route. [1:30] This determines what happens to the caller if OktoAssist reaches the allowed call limit or can no longer handle the call. [1:46] Before enabling the route, place test calls and confirm each option works as expected. [1:52] If an appointment is booked, verify that it appears correctly in the OktoRocket scheduler. [1:58] Once the OktoAssist route has been configured and tested, go back to the existing active route and disable it. [2:06] Then return to your newly configured OktoAssist route and enable it.
